The aim and scope of this study is to describe the coordination of joint efforts concerning chemicals and hazardous substances in the Baltic Sea region, between the Swedish Chemicals Agency (KemI) and the land-based pollution group of the Helsinki Commission (HELCOM LAND). Based on the description of the coordination, the second aim is to discuss the consequences for the Swedish Chemicals Agency in its policy shaping work towards a nontoxic environment. A qualitative and descriptive case study method is used for this purpose. Theories of coordination and achievement-inducing criteria for environmental goals are applied to the case. Components and related processes of coordination are applied to the descriptive part of the study, whilst the achievement-inducing criteria are applied in the discussion.

Under min utbildning har jag fått upp ögonen för ämnet kemi och på så sätt uppmärksammat att det inte bedrivs så mycket kemi i dagens förskolor. Det experimeneras en del i förskolan men man benämner det inte med ordet kemi. Det har via TIMSS rapporterats att intresset för kemi minskar stadigt. Utifrån dessa reflektioner har jag skapat ett arbetsmaterial inom kemi för förskolan. Materialet har använts och sedan utvärderats av förskollärare via enkäter..

An increasing number of chemicals are being transported by ships along the Swedish coastline. Many of these chemicals may pose a threat to the environment. Accidents and spills are luckily rare, but nonetheless it is important to be prepared for a possible chemical spill. The Swedish Coast Guard is responsible for responding to chemical spills at sea, and has both equipment and trained personnel for the purpose. In order to prepare for a possible accident one also needs to know what is currently being transported at sea.

Chemicals in preschools - a study of endocrine disrupting chemicals and awareness among preschool teachers The purpose of this study was to investigate endocrine disrupting chemicals that have been shown in preschools and also the preschool teachers? awareness of these chemicals. There were two methods used for completing this study; a literature study and a practical study. The literature study was made by researching on the internet and in books. The practical study was performed by sending questionnaires to all preschools in Kiruna municipality to study awareness among staff.

This essay examines upper secondary school pupils as well as the Swedish National Agency for Educations views on the education in subject of religion. How they describe its purpose, what content the topic should address, how the education should be implemented and what influence the pupils should have over their own studies. This to examine how the views of pupils and the Swedish National Agency of Education correlate and to analyze how it possibly can affect the pupil?s motivation. The survey is conducted by semi-forging tured interviews and text analysis in order to ascertain the pupils and the Swedish National Agency of Educations opinions on the issues.

 Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att ta reda på kemins roll i förskolan. Jag valde då att genomföra undersökningen med hjälp av intervjuer med pedagoger i olika förskolor. Hälften av de tillfrågade pedagogerna ansåg att de arbetade med kemi i förskolan. Elva av tolv pedagoger ansåg att kemi i förskolan gav fördelar. Det upptäckande arbetssättet som uppstår ger barnen lust att undersöka och de vågar sig på problemlösningar.

Elever i gymnasieskolan visar svårigheter att skapa sig äkta förståelse för ämnet kemi. Detta kan bero på en omfattande mängd material men också att kemiämnet traditionellt är uppdelat i separata kategorier. Elever uppvisar inte förmåga att se helheten och kopplingen mellan dessa delar. Arbetet diskuterar möjligheten för ämnesläraren att utgå från så kallade ?stora idéer? och sedan avancera innehållet enligt en bestämd ordning. Detta kan vara ett sätt att skapa helhetsbild, bättre överblick och därigenom djupare förståelse av kemin som ämne. Genom lärarintervjuer undersöks olika lärares syn på organisk kemi i undervisningen och om specifika moment finns inom kursen kemi 1 där fler exempel på den organiska kemins grunder kan introduceras för gymnasieelever. Stora idéer som sammanfattar gymnasiekemins grundkurs (kemi1) samt organisk kemi (del av kemi 2) presenteras i arbetet.

Syftet med undersökningen var att se vilka förhållande elever i skolår 6 & 9 har till skolämnet kemi. Vi använde oss av enkäter för att genomföra vår studie, för att vi ansåg att det var mest lämpligt för vårt syfte. Vi gjorde en totalundersökning på tre skolor i Piteå kommun, där alla elever i skolår 6 & 9 ingick. Vi fann att elever är positiva till att lära sig kemi innan de börjar skolår 7 men avtar kraftigt efter det. Orsaker till det är bland annat svårförstådd litteratur, påverkan utifrån, lärarens oförmåga till lyhördhet gentemot eleverna samt olämpligt språkbruk.

Sammanfattning: Syftet med detta arbete är att skapa ett lättillgängligt material i fysik och kemi, och därigenom få fler pedagoger att arbeta med dessa ämnen i förskolan. Ett handledarhäfte med enkla experiment skapades och utvärderades på två förskolor. Pedagogerna arbetade med detta häfte i två veckor, för att sedan utvärdera det via en enkät. Resultatet visade sig positivt, de tyckte att det varit roligt att arbeta med fysik och kemi med barnen. Häftet var lättförståligt och man använde sig av material som normalt finns på en förskola.

The United Nations has, during many years, developed a model for a globally harmonized system for classification and labeling of chemicals, with the aim of it becoming a global standard. This system is implemented in the European Union through the CLP-regulation and is now working parallel to the existing directives until 1st of June 2015, when all the new classifications of substances and mixtures must be completed. The aim of this project was to adjust the laboratory to the new legislation, through inventory of stored chemicals, update the list of chemicals and perform self-classifications of mixtures. The work included handling of about 650 different chemicals with varying hazard classifications and search for information in corporate websites and chemical databases. This resulted in a new and complete list of chemicals stored and used in the laboratory and, in addition, an example of how to make a self classification of a mixture.

The Swedish Tax Agency is a government authority whose mission is to collect taxes and fees for financing the public sector and welfare in Sweden. Under the last decade the tax gap in Sweden has been constant and small businesses with a max turnover of 25 millions Swedish crowns are the biggest group in the tax gap. In the government inquiry about abolishment of statutory audit for small businesses (2008) there has been laid some proposals that the Swedish Tax Agency should get new control tools and increased rights to control small businesses tax accounts. In the science some controversies exists about tax authority?s ability to get taxpayers to pay taxes and fees to the society through using deterrence and compellence control methods versus more service? This ground has guided us to our presentation of a problem: ?How the Swedish Tax Agency works with influencing small businesses behaviour through preventive actions and controls?? The purpose of this study is to research and understand how the Swedish Tax Agency works in their control activities to influence small businesses behaviours regarding taxes and fees.

Environmental chemicals are transported to the Arctic through the air and oceans, once within the Arctic they spread through rivers, lakes and other watercourses. Polar bears and sledge dogs in-gest high concentrations of environmental chemicals since many of the chemicals are fat-soluble and their diet mainly consists of marine mammals. The aim of this study is to describe how environmental chemicals spread in nature, how they reach the polar bears, and finally how they affect the animals reproduction, with reproductive hormones and genitals in focus. The animals are exposed to a cocktail effect which complicates the assessment of the chemicals impact on the reproduction. Studies show that the genitals can decrease in size or become malformed, sexual maturation can be affected and the reproductive hormones can be disturbed.

Arbetets syfte var att undersöka om grundskolekemiboken Kemi Lpo TEFY är "en bra kemilärobok" enligt 6 krav som jag som kemist ställde på "en bra kemilärobok". Kraven omfattade översiktlig, strukturerad, logisk, precis, lättförståelig och begriplig, tydlig, förklarande, samband förmedlande och sakligt korrekt framställning av kemin, samband till elevernas värld och till aktuella globala problem, experimentens frihetsgrader och jämställdhetsprincipen mellan könen. Anledning till undersökningen var det dåliga resultatet i ämnet kemi i den Nationella Utvärderingen av grundskolan 2003 och undersökningsmetod en värderande textanalys i samband med en enkät med högstadieelever. Resultatet är att jag anser att Kemi Lpo TEFY inte är "en bra kemilärobok" enligt mina krav och att den borde omarbetas grundligt.
